The rules for the moderators are EXACTLY THE SAME, but with certain exceptions. There exceptions are listed below. These rules include rules for users AND moderators, so everyone should read them!
- Moderators must agree to have an "[FO]" for forum owner, an "[A]" for admin, an "[FA]" for forum affiliate, an "[HM]" for high moderator, an "[M]" for board moderator, or a "[P]" for priority user, next to their name, so that other users know that they are of higher authority, and therefore should be listened to above all else.
- Moderators must never flame anyone under ANY circumstances. Flaming will result in black marks being placed on the flaming moderator's account, as it would any other user, and possible DEMOTION. We would like our moderators to be role models for other users.
- Moderators are regular users, treat them as you would any other user on the forum.
- High Moderators have the ability to ban other users, and moderators can always ask users of the High Moderator status and above to ban a user. For this reason, please be on your best behavior at all times on the forums.
- Moderators MUST leave an "edit note" explaining why they have edited/locked your post(s)/thread(s). If a moderator should not do such a thing, please report it to us, the admins, so that we may handle the situation. Thanks to our IP checking system, we can identify which moderator has done this. Also, keep in mind that if a moderator should fail to leave an "edit note", they have probably forgotten.
Here is an example of what an "edit note" should include:
